The Cleaver Scientific digital UV Sterilisation Cabinets provide a convenient and controlled workspace for the preparation of PCR reactions in a nucleic acid–free environment, thereby significantly reducing the risk of PCR contamination. Acting as a cost-effective alternative to a clean room, the cabinets are equipped with high-intensity UV lamps capable of denaturing nucleic acids within 5 to 30 minutes, rendering them unsuitable for amplification. Integrated white lighting ensures excellent visibility during routine laboratory procedures.
The main body is manufactured from a powder-coated metal structure with toughened glass front panels, providing resistance to a wide range of commonly used laboratory chemicals while maintaining clear visibility of the working area.
The UV lamps are controlled via an integrated digital timer, allowing precise and reproducible sterilisation cycles. In addition, safety interlock switches on the cabinet doors automatically deactivate the UV lights when the doors are opened, ensuring safe operation during routine use.
With benefits comparable to the standard DUVCAB, the Mini/Midi model is ideal for space- and budget-constrained laboratories. Its compact design allows it to fit neatly into smaller lab areas without compromising decontamination performance.
For use with trays of size 68 x 54cm, CSR-TW4/TY4/TL4.
Note: All DUVCAB models, regardless of size, operate with the same functions.
